Oundle Festival Prose Slam

I was lucky to be one of ten people chosen to read at the Prose Slam. The Oundle Festival is a youngster compared with the more established literary events, but it's growing. The opening few days were dedicated to aspiring authors, with workshops, the performance of a new play, and the poetry and prose readings.

These photos show me reading Dehydration. The order of appearance was determined by pulling our names out of a hat; wouldn't you know, I came last! But plenty of positive comments made it worthwhile, particularly those I received from Paula Prince, the events director, and a couple of members from the festival committee.

I'm also planning to submit an entry to the festival's short story competition, which will be judged later this year.
