My inspirations

I read a range of genres. Among my favourite authors, in no particular order, are: JRR Tolkien, Philip Pullman, Robert Holdstock, Joanne Harris, Lindsey Davis, John Gardner, Anne Tyler, Tony Hillerman, Charles De Lint and Jasper Fforde.

I also find inspiration in films that are a marriage of normality and the otherworldly: comedies like Groundhog Day and Heaven Can Wait, and dramas like Field of Dreams, Truly Madly Deeply, Pleasantville and City of Angels.
